| Deceased Estates

Had a loved one pass away or been appointed the executor of an Estate? We can help you make sense of this complicated area.

When a loved one passes away it can seem like a huge task to wind up their tax affairs. When this happens an executor or legal personal representative is appointed to take on this responsibility. This includes the responsibility of managing the tax affairs of the deceased.

Once you have probate, we can assist you to:

  • Complete the deceased final tax return.
  • Apply for the Tax File number of the Estate.
  • Complete the Estate income tax returns until the Estate is wound up and all assets distributed to beneficiaries.
  • Liaise with lawyers (where necessary).
  • Provide beneficiaries with the information they need to include in their own tax returns (if necessary) .
  • Where necessary calculate tax payable by the Estate.
